This guide will help you:

- ✅ Configure DNS records in IONOS
- ✅ Set up payment processing with Stripe
- ✅ Upload product photos
- ✅ Launch your store
⏱️ Estimated Time: 1-2 hours (mostly waiting for DNS propagation)
PART 1: CONNECT DOMAIN IN BASE44
Step 1: Add Custom Domain
- Go to Base44 Dashboard
URL: https://app.base44.com
Log in with your account
- Navigate to Settings
Click Settings in the sidebar
Find Custom Domains section
Click "Add Custom Domain" button
- Enter Your Domain
Type:
eternallyadamseve.comClick "Add Domain" or "Submit"
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Copy DNS Records
Base44 will display DNS records that look like this:
CNAME Record:
Hostname: www
Points to: [your-app-id].base44.app
TTL: 3600
A Record:
Hostname: @ (or blank)
Points to: 76.76.21.21 (example IP)
TTL: 3600
TXT Record:
Hostname: @ (or blank)
Value: base44-verify=abc123xyz456
TTL: 3600
📝 Write down these exact values - you'll need them for IONOS!
PART 2: CONFIGURE DNS IN IONOS
Step 1: Access IONOS Control Panel
- Go to https://www.ionos.com/login
- Log in with your IONOS credentials
- Click "Domains & SSL" in the menu
- Find eternallyadamseve.com in your domain list
- Click "Manage" or "DNS Settings"
Step 2: Add DNS Records
⚠️ IMPORTANT: You'll add 3 separate records. Click "Add Record" for each one.
Record 1: CNAME (for www subdomain)
Type: CNAME
Hostname: www
Points to: [paste from Base44 - looks like: abc123.base44.app]
TTL: 3600 (or leave default)
☐ Click "Add Record" or "New Record"
☐ Select "CNAME" from dropdown
☐ Enter "www" in Hostname/Name field
☐ Paste Base44 URL in "Points to" field
☐ Click "Save"
Record 2: A Record (for root domain)
Type: A
Hostname: @ (or leave blank)
Points to: [paste IP from Base44 - looks like: 76.76.21.21]
TTL: 3600 (or leave default)
☐ Click "Add Record" again
☐ Select "A" from dropdown
☐ Enter "@" or leave blank for Hostname
☐ Paste IP address in "Points to" field
☐ Click "Save"
Record 3: TXT (for verification)
Type: TXT
Hostname: @ (or leave blank)
Value: [paste from Base44 - looks like: base44-verify=abc123xyz]
TTL: 3600 (or leave default)
☐ Click "Add Record" again
☐ Select "TXT" from dropdown
☐ Enter "@" or leave blank for Hostname
☐ Paste verification code in "Value" field
☐ Click "Save"
Step 3: Remove Conflicting Records
⚠️ CRITICAL: Check for existing records that might conflict:
☐ Look for old A records pointing to @ (root)
☐ Look for old CNAME records for www
☐ Delete any records for eternallyadamseve.com that point elsewhere
☐ Keep MX records (email) - don't delete these!
Step 4: Save Changes
☐ Click "Save All Changes" or "Apply"
☐ Confirm any warnings/popups
✅ DNS changes are now live (propagation takes 5-60 minutes)
PART 3: VERIFY DOMAIN IN BASE44
Step 1: Return to Base44 Dashboard
- Go back to Base44 Custom Domains page
- Find eternallyadamseve.com in the list
- Click "Verify" or "Check DNS" button
Step 2: Wait for Verification
What to expect:
- ⏳ First check: Usually fails (DNS not propagated yet)
- ⏳ Wait 10-15 minutes
- 🔄 Click "Verify" again
- ✅ Should succeed within 30-60 minutes
Status changes: ❌ Pending → ⏳ Verifying → ✅ Verified
Step 3: SSL Certificate Setup
Once verified, Base44 automatically:
- ✅ Issues SSL certificate (Let's Encrypt)
- ✅ Enables HTTPS
- ⏱️ Takes 5-30 minutes
Wait until you see:
✅ Domain Verified
✅ SSL Active

PART 4: TEST YOUR DOMAIN
Checklist: Test These URLs
☐ https://eternallyadamseve.com (should load your store)
☐ https://www.eternallyadamseve.com (should also work)
☐ Check SSL padlock 🔒 in browser (green/secure)
☐ Test on mobile device
☐ Clear browser cache if not working (Ctrl+F5 / Cmd+Shift+R)
🚨 TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem: "Domain Already Registered"
Solution:
- Check if domain is in OLD Base44 app
- Remove it from old app first
- Then add to new app
Problem: DNS Not Propagating
Solutions:
- ⏱️ Wait 1-2 hours (DNS can be slow)
- 🔄 Clear browser cache: Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R
- 📱 Try different device or incognito mode
- 🌐 Check whatsmydns.net
Problem: Still Shows .net Instead of .com
Solution:
- Verify you added .com not .net in Base44
- Delete any old .net domains from Base44
- Check IONOS is configured for .com not .net
